Story By: TIM BALTZ / CAN-AM SPEEDWAY – LAFARGEVILLE, NY – Weather conditions were looking great for Youth Sportsman night at the Can Am Speedway Friday night, however Mother Nature made it known that weather was coming.
With the threat of heavy showers and thunderstorms looming, Can Am Speedway Management made an early decision to call off the evening’s events, which was to include all six divisions at 7pm.
With two rain outs and a week off in between, the stars at Can Am Speedway will be eager to get back on the track next week, as it will be Armed Forces night at the speedway. The Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club will be joining the program, along with a full show for the Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTCar 358 Modifieds, Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTCar Sportsman, Sundance Leisure Thundercars and the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman. Panther Frameworx Crate Sprints and FABCO DIRTCar Pro Stocks have the night off.
Spectator gates will open at 5pm with hot laps to follow. Opening ceremonies and National Anthems with Miss Adirondak and Miss Thousand Islands will take place after that, with the first green flag dropping at 7pm.
