Mother Nature Returns To Winning Ways At Can-Am Speedway Friday Night

Story By: TIM BALTZ / CAN-AM SPEEDWAY – LAFARGEVILLE, NY – Over the years we have seen some dominant seasons by many but this year Mother Nature has put on a clinic, claiming yet another night of racing at the Nasty Track of the North.

With the threat of thunderstorms and heavy rains, Can Am Speedway Management made the difficult decision to cancel the program for Friday night in the mid-morning, which was to be the first ever event for the Action Sprint Tour East Series on American soil, plus the Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTCar 358 Modifieds, Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTCar Sportsman, Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman and Sundance Leisure Thundercars.

The decision by Track Management to cancel proved to be the right decision, as the skies opened up with heavy rains along with thunder and lightning at around 3:30pm, in the Town of Orleans, leaving behind several inches of rain at the track.

Next week Santa will be making his list and checking it twice as he gets set to make an appearance at the speedway as it will be Christmas in July five divisions on hand. The Panther Frameworx 602 Crate Sprint Cars have the evening off but the cars and stars of the Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTCar 358 Modifieds, Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTCar Sportsman, Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman and Sundance Leisure Thundercars, will all be there.

Spectator gates open at 5pm with the green flag dropping at 7pm. Opening ceremonies and National Anthems will take place prior to the green flag by Miss Adirondak and Miss Thousand Islands.
