Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – Without a doubt, one of the more popular classes that competes weekly at the Woodhull Raceway is the KMD Excavating Hobby Stock Division.
Having been added to the weekly card by previous Woodhull Raceway track owners, Ted and Brandi White nearly a decade ago, the class has grown from just few cars during its infancy to now, which boasts high teen car counts each race night.
Coming on board in 2023 as the headline sponsor is KMD Excavating and for Paul Dgien and his two kids, Kaiden and Meadow the class is something they firmly believe in and have gone the extra distance not only to sponsor the class, but they also come up with additional certificates each race night from local business owners like Sawyers Camper and RV Service.
The KMD Excavating Hobby Stocks will run a special King of the Ring single elimination event on Saturday night, June 10 in addition to a Great 8 Show which will feature all of Woodhull’s weekly divisions of competition including the Insinger Performance Modifieds, the NAPA Crate Sportsman, Doug Gross Construction RUXH Crate Late Models as well as the Southern Tier Customs Street Stocks. Rounding out the card will be the earlier mentioned KMD Excavating Hobby Stocks along with a trio of Wicked Tee’s sponsored classes including the Mini, FWD and Youth Warriors.
Main Grandstand gates open at 4:30 with the first green waving at 6:30 pm.

In addition to the night of sponsorship on Saturday, June 10, Sawyer’s will also sponsor the KMD Excavating King of the Ring event featuring one-on-one single elimination competition until just one driver is left standing and will receive the crown, cape and winners check.
