Knox Raceway Suspends Business Operations; Rest Of 2023 Season Cancelled

Story By: PAM BAKER / KNOX RACEWAY – KNOX, PA – Effective immediately Knox Raceway will suspend all business operations at the Knox, PA facility.

All scheduled events such as the August 13th and September 16th races, September 30th GSP Demolition Derby, Car Cruise-In that was scheduled for September 9th and the October/November 24-hour Enduro that was in the works have been canceled.

Brian Steinman, owner of the facility made this announcement on Tuesday, July 18th stating that low attendance for all the events in 2023 is the reason behind this closer. Brian and Brianna Steinman purchased the facility in late 2021 and their first event was May 14, 2022.

Opening night was great for the Steinman’s but since that time declining attendance has plagued the facility.

Brian brought this facility back to life after sitting quiet for several years. A lot of time, effort and money was spent before the doors could reopen and he created a very nice facility for entertainment for the people in Clarion, Jefferson and Venango counties.

The support just wasn’t there to continue operating.
