September Brings Xtreme Outlaw Midgets To Indiana’s Paragon Speedway For First Time

Story By: NICK GRAZIANO / XTREME OUTLAW SERIES – PARAGON, IN – New month. New state. New track.

When the calendar turns to September this year, the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota will make its first, and only, stop to Indiana for a doubleheader weekend at Paragon Speedway.

The two-day show, Sept. 1-2, will also be the Series’ debut at the 3/8-mile track, awarding $4,000 to the winner on Friday night and $5,000 to Saturday’s main event winner.

It’ll also play a significant role in the 2023 championship hunt as there will only be six races left after the doubleheader event. Currently, Cannon McIntosh, Jade Avedisian, Gavin Miller and defending Series champion Zach Daum have emerged as the top contenders for the title.

Of them, McIntosh is the one to have most recently raced in a national Midget event at the track, finishing second to Thomas Meseraull during a 2021 USAC race. The year prior, Daum finished 13th and McIntosh 24th – out before making a lap. Kyle Larson won the 2020 event.
