Outlaw Speedway Prepares For American Legion Night Friday Evening

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – With the 2023-point season at the Outlaw Speedway rapidly ending, drivers in all the weekly divisions at Outlaw Speedway are jockeying for position with just a pair of point paying races left heading into the Double Point Season Championship night on September 1, 2023.

On the schedule for Friday, August 11, 2023 it will be a Regular Super 7 Show for all the weekly divisions as well as the one-on-one elimination event to see who will be crowned King of the Outlaw Speedway in the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire Division.

“This season is coming to a rapid close, stated Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri. It seems like we just opened in April and now we are down to our last three events before we close out the point season and head into our Fall Specials format. The next couple of events will be critical for the drivers at or near the top in points for each respective division. Everyone will be looking for their best possible feature finishes heading into our Double Point Finale on Sept. 1.”

All gate times for both pit and grandstand entry along with ticket admission prices will be posted on Facebook the week of the August 11, 2023 event along with plenty of other valuable information, weather updates and ticket give a way.

Information regarding criteria for free entry to those involved with their local American Legion Organizations will be posted as well.

Camping is always free along with complementary rides on Outlaw Crusher, the tracks Official Monster Truck.

For those who are of the legal drinking age of 21, two watering holes await your thirst.

The Turn 4 Tavern is in the Grandstand Area with the Outlaw Saloon strategically situated midway down the back straight away in the pit area.

Both sell iced cold beer and offer a spectacular view of the Fast 4/10 of a mile clay oval.

The August 11, 2023 event will set things up for the following week when the 2nd Annual Ted Siri Memorial will be staged at the popular Yates County oval.

“Last year’s Ted Siri Memorial, which I ran in conjunction with NASCAR Night was a huge success with a great turn out of cars and stars. I re-booked the Tezos Flo Racing All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints back on for that same night this season along with a big paying Modified special in addition to several other divisions. My dad was a very special guy and I’m looking forward to once again having a night in his memory.” That once again according to track owner, Tyler Siri.

Celebrating sixty-six continuous years of great dirt track racing action, the Outlaw Speedway is located on Rt. 14a just outside of Dundee, NY right in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York.
