Brandon Kinzer Brings Cumberland Plateau Series Point Lead Into Volunteer Speedway

Story By: RYAN DELPH / KINZER MOTORSPORTS – ALLEN, KY – Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team invaded both Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, Tennessee over the August 4-5 weekend.

Last Friday night in the ‘Pete Abell Memorial’ at Ponderosa, which was sanctioned by the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, Brandon timed in sixth quickest overall during qualifying prior to finishing sixth in the $1,500 to win main event.

At Wartburg last Saturday evening, a $2,037 winner’s check was up for grabs in the annual running of the ‘Dylan Kennedy Memorial.’ Brandon placed a strong fifth in the 25-lap headliner at the Volunteer State oval, as he finished the Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Racing Series special behind only victor Blake Brown, Trent Young, Chris Wilson, and Peyton Harlow. BK still finds himself atop the Cumberland Plateau point standings heading into the stretch run.

The Kinzer Motorsports team is now set to invade the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee later today, August 12. The Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Racing Series will preside over a $2,000 to win program and Brandon will look to stretch his current point lead with the tour.
