Justin Bonsignore Set For Trip To Run NASCAR Modified Tour 150-Lapper At Langley Speedway

Story By: KYLE SOUZA / JUSTIN BONSIGNORE MOTORSPORTS – HOLTSVILLE, NY – Fresh off a win at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, and victories in the last two NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races in general, Justin Bonsignore and the Kenneth Massa Motorsports team will return to work this weekend.

The Whelen Modified Tour is heading south to Langley Speedway in Virginia on Saturday, August 26, for the CheckeredFlag.com 150.

The 12th race of the Whelen Modified Tour season will begin a busy stretch for Bonsignore. After Langley, events at Oswego (September 2), Monadnock (September 9), Riverhead (September 16) and North Wilkesboro (September 30) will make up a busy stretch of five races in six weeks. It will be followed by two in October to crown the 2023 champion.

Bonsignore is second in the series championship standings, just two points behind leader Ron Silk. Both drivers have three wins during the 2023 season. In three previous Langley starts, Bonsignore has been inside the top-five at the finish of all of them. He’s also been top-five in all but one race this season on the Whelen Modified Tour.

“Langley is a tough track,” Bonsignore said. “Having great turn through the center of the corner and good drive off are equally important to having success there. We’ve had some solid runs over the years at Langley, but certainly we are excited to get back there and try to improve on our package to be there at the end of the race with a shot to win.”

Langley’s race day schedule includes NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice from 3:15-4 p.m., followed by qualifying at 5:30 p.m. The green flag for the CheckeredFlag.com 150 is set for 8 p.m.
