Austin Holcombe Doubles Down In Holiday Weekend Victory Lane

He won at on Friday evening at Halifax County Motor Speedway before topping the action again on Saturday at County Line Raceway.

“We had a great weekend with our Lethal Chassis. Even though mechanical issues knocked us out of the Sunday evening at Potomac Speedway, we still came away with two wins in three starts,” Holcombe said. “It just feels good to be back in the groove. Thanks to my family, my team, and everyone who supports our team.”

Starting off a busy Labor Day weekend, Austin Holcombe rolled into Halifax County Motor Speedway (Littleton, N.C.) on Friday afternoon for the first leg of the Modified Mafia Tour doubleheader.

Holcombe laid down the fastest lap in qualifying and was victorious in the Climb to the Pole which placed him on the hot seat for the 30-lap main event. With a $2,000 payday on the line, Austin led flag-to-flag to score his third series victory of the season.

With the field elevated to 16 entries on Saturday at County Line Raceway (Elm City, N.C.), Austin once again qualified top of the board and won the Climb to the Pole. With another $2,000-to-win feature on tap, Holcombe took the lead from the drop of the green flag and led all 30-laps en route to his second triumph of the weekend and fourth of the year

Austin traveled to Potomac Speedway (Budd Creeks, Md.) on Sunday, but dealt with mechanical issues before the feature which forced him to retire from the event.
