Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – It was an all-out consistent weekend in the Buckeye State for Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing, padding their two-race stretch with not only the aforementioned dose of consistency, but also forward progress, ultimately ending the weekend with a hard charging performance at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, September 23.
Zearfoss, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, A. Lane Living, No. 3Z sprint car, finished 13th in his Sharon appearance, commencing his rally forward from 20th on the grid. As hinted, Zearfoss’ effort was sound enough to secure the evening’s Hard Charger Award, given to the competitor who advances the most feature positions.
Speaking of consistency, just one night prior in Eldora Speedway’s Befour the Crowns Showdown, Zearfoss finished 14th, this time advancing three positions from row nine. Even Zearfoss’ Eldora heat race featured forward movement, bumping ahead from eighth to qualify.
“We wanted a few more spots to secure some top-tens, but consistency and forward progress is important. We’ll take these results and move ahead ready for Williams Grove,” Zearfoss mentioned. “It was a tough and lengthy stretch out West that eventually led us to Ohio. To finally be back in Pennsylvania is pretty awesome. There’s nothing like working out of your own shop.”
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with Williams Grove Speedway’s 61st Champion Racing Oil National Open on Friday and Saturday, September 29-30. Saturday’s finale will award a $75,000 payday.
