Overheating Issue Sunday Leaves Harrison Burton 36th At Homestead-Miami Speedway

Story By: JORDAN WOOD / WOOD BROTHERS RACING – HOMESTEAD, FL – Sunday’s 4EVER 400 ended early for Harrison Burton and the No. 21 DEX Imaging Mustang.

Burton drove the No. 21 to the garage at the end of the second Stage, his engine done for the day.

It already wasn’t the best of days for the DEX Imaging team. Burton started 28th and moved up to 25th by Lap Nine. He made a green-flag pit stop at Lap 31 and was back in 25th by Lap 47. He finished the first 80-lap Stage in 26th place but one lap behind the leaders.

In the second Stage he ran between 25th and 28th but lost a second lap after a green-flag stop at Lap 128.

He finished the Stage in 29th but retired with an overheated engine during the ensuing caution period, dropping to 36th in the final rundown.

Burton and the No. 21 team now head to the Wood Brothers’ home track, Martinsville Speedway, for next Sunday’s Xfinity 500 on the paper-clip-shaped, half-mile oval.
