White Mountain Motorsports Park 2023 Review: Strictly Stock Minis

Story By: WHITE MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS PARK – NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH – In the weeks leading up to the annual Banquet of Champions, we will be having a 2023 Season Celebration for each of the six divisions that call White Mountain Motorsports Park home throughout the summer. After starting with the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division, Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars and Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models, it’s time to celebrate one of White Mountain’s top divisions; the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis.

The Strictly Minis were thrown a new challenge in 2023 with an all-new Hoosier Racing Tire for the first time, elevating the competition to new heights! In a division full of veterans, the defending Rookie of the Year Kristian Switser came out of the gate with guns blazing, taking down three consecutive wins in as many weeks to open the season.

The division went on notice once more with the annual 50-lap special in June as newbie Anthony Gavell wowed both the grandstands and his competition with his first career win in the competitive division. Defending champion Chris Moulton took down the win to jump-start the month of July before Donnie Baumgardner was the next to claim three in a row, taking two in one night with the rain pushing a double feature night in August.

Jack Hayes was up next, taking two wins in a row in August and September after a rough start to the season with a great come-back story for the Littleton driver. Switser found himself back in victory lane with one race left and wrapped up the 2023 Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini Stock Championship.

The final event on Championship night saw top rookie, and Kids Division graduate, McKenna Merchant pour the power on, running the outside groove like a driver with thirty-years’ experience to claim her first points-paying win at the North Woodstock oval, much to the celebration of her team and fans in the stands!

White Mountain Motorsports Park will officially wrap up the 2023 stock car racing season with the annual Banquet of Champions on Saturday, December 2 at the Littleton Elks Club. The 2024 Schedule of Events updated license forms and rule books for the 2024 season have been released by the ACT office.
