Weedsport Kartway Partners Return To Award $15,500 In Prizes & Contingencies For Members

Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / WEEDSPORT KARTWAY – WEEDSPORT, NY – Following a record setting 2023 at Weedsport Kartway, which saw more than 90 drivers register for membership, the kartway is pleased to welcome back six key partners that will collectively provide more than $15,500 in prizes, contingencies and product to members in 2024.

The Burris Racing 33 tire will once again be the official tire of Weedsport Kartway in 2024 and members will again have an opportunity to win one of 14 full sets of tires provided by Burris next season. During the first seven events of the soon to be announced Weedsport calendar, one junior member and one senior member will be drawn at random during the drivers meeting to receive a set of Burris tires.

Rejoining Burris as an event based award supporter will be Pit Stop Convenience Stores. Located less than a mile from the kartway in Weedsport, Pit Stop Convenience Stores remains the official fuel provider of the kartway and will award a total of five $50 gift cards to members, by random draw, at all events for the coming season.

As they have done since the kartway’s inception, Slack Karts and Performance Manufacturing will return in 2024 to award a brand new Slack Elevate chassis to one member that has perfect attendance during the season.

Infinit Technology Solutions and Independent Pizzeria will take on new roles in 2024, coming on as presenting sponsors of the entire series schedule. Infinit and Independent will be the official sponsors of this year’s track championship leather jackets, which will be awarded to kartway champions in the Short Port’s standard eight points classes.

Noah Ennis of Shell Shock Custom Helmet Paint has also signed back on for 2024 and will provide a free custom helmet paint job to one member with perfect attendance this season.

Aside from member partners returning, Weedsport is also pleased to announce the return of the Precision Racing Products PRO Clone 360 Pole Award, which will provide $100 in cash to all quick timers in PRO Clone 360 time trials in 2024.

“We thank our many series partners and others that join us through the season to help give back as much as we can to our many race teams,” said Weedsport Kartway’s, Dan Kapuscinski. “We have been fortunate at Weedsport to have a solid core of partners that have stuck with us since the beginning in 2018 and we value that commitment. In conjunction with some other changes we have made this season, we hope to add even more value to our racing program in 2024.”

Based on member feedback, adjustments to the coming season include the removal of time trials and the addition of heat racing for all points classes. This alteration to the race day schedule will not only provide more track time for racers, but more excitement for the many fans that attend to take in the racing action.

Pre-entry fees for all points classes will also be reduced to only $25. All points classes will still contend for Top 3 trophies, winner’s signs and leather championship jackets, however points classes will no longer provide a cash payout at events.

Aside from the PRO Clone Super Heavy James Shutts Memorial, PRO Clone 360 will be the only PRO division in the new season. The PRO Clone 360 event formats and purse structures will remain unchanged from 2023.
