Story By: TIM BALTZ / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ONT – The 2024 racing season is fast approaching and that means teams are getting parts and pieces together for their rides.
A long time veteran in Northeast is now making that easier and looking to bring back the parts business to a personal level.
Current Crew Chief for the JPR Racing Team, Shawn Hartin is now venturing into the race car parts business with the formation of HP Speed in Kingston Ontario.
“We plan on carrying a few things at the track this year” Hartin said. “We will eventually add more items during the year as we figure out exactly what teams are looking for week in and week out.”
HP Speed will be at the Brockville Ontario Speedway weekly for 2024 and is already an authorized dealer for Mobil 1, Bicknell Racing Products, BERT, SRI, Motor State, Lizard Lit Pit Lights, Behrent’s Performance and Henry’s Exhaust.
Along with the new business venture, Hartin will still continue to serve as Crew Chief for Jessica Power and her #52 Sportsman team, which will compete weekly once again at Can Am and Brockville along with a full run at the DIRTCar Sportsman Series as well.
“This is a whole new adventure for us all but we are trying to make an easier way for the racers to get parts without having to wait for online orders.” Hartin said.
Referring to many of the local racers getting things online these days.
“We also want the drivers to have easier access to what they need at the track and that’s what is needed the most and we hope we can bring that back to Brockville this year.”
