Season Opener Postponed As Rain Forces Schedule Change At Big Diamond Speedway

Story By: BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – Saturated grounds from overnight rains and more rain forecasted for Friday morning have forced Big Diamond Speedway to postpone their 2024 season opener.

Promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley have rescheduled the opening night Thaw Brawl to Friday, April 19th featuring the Quandel Concrete Modifieds racing 25-laps for a first-place prize of $4,052. Also on the event card for that night are the USS Achey, Inc Crate 602 Sportsman paying the winner $1,052, the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners with the winner receiving $452 and the Big Creek Concrete Crate 602 Rookies.

The $10,000 to win Money in the Mountains race originally scheduled for that date has been moved back a week to Friday, April 26th. The Money in the Mountains race is part of the Big Diamond triple crown and always attracts the best of the best in modified racing.
