Top Ten for Rod Conley in Ira Bastin Memorial; Rain Washes Out Weekend Plans

Story By: RYAN DELPH / CONLEY MOTORSPORTS – WHEELERSBURG, OH – Rod Conley and the #71R Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team made the trek to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday evening, April 6 for the 2nd edition of the ‘Ira Bastin Memorial.’

The Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series presided over the single-day throwdown in the Hoosier State and a $5,000 winner’s check was up for grabs.

Rod placed third in his loaded heat race prior to starting the 40-lap main event from the outside of the sixth row. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace then rallied past a trio of competitors during the headliner on his way to a solid ninth place effort.

The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams and drivers Rod and R.J. Conley will sit idle over the April 12-13 weekend. Rod had planned to race at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio tonight and Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday, but both events have been nixed due to rain and inclement weather.
