  • Joey Logano, driver, No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang – 7th
  • Ryan Blaney, driver, No. 12 Wabash Ford Mustang – 21st

HEAR FROM CINDRIC: “Really proud of the effort from everyone on the No. 2 car. [Crew chief] Brian [Wilson] and the guys have really been able to give me some fast cars on these speedways I think it gives us a great opportunity to control our race and the strategy. The Fords have been fast and we’re looking forward to trying to get it in victory lane tomorrow.”

MIC’D UP: Ryan Blaney returns to the NASCAR on FOX broadcast booth as a guest analyst for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. ET on FOX.

RETURNING TO TALLADEGA: Ryan Blaney (2023 fall, 2002 spring, 2019 fall) and Joey Logano (2018 spring, 2016 fall, 2014 fall) combine for six of Team Penske’s 11 all-time wins at Talladega Superspeedway with three apiece. Blaney returns to the famed superspeedway as the most recent winner following last October’s playoff victory by .012 seconds to advance the No. 12 team to the Round of 8. Last fall’s win marked Blaney’s second in the last four seasons at Talladega, while Austin Cindric’s fifth-place finish was his second top-10 result in four-career NCS starts at the Alabama superspeedway.

RACE DAY: Coverage of Sunday afternoon’s GEICO 500 Cup Series race kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET with coverage carried on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
