Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JKL RACING – HANOVER, PA – Certainly a marquee event on the 2024 Pennsylvania Posse schedule, Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, hosted the $20,000-to-win Weldon Sterner Memorial on Saturday, April 20, and Hanover’s own JJ Loss was there to battle – a quality precursor for the upcoming Gettysburg Clash featuring the World of Outlaws on Wednesday, May 8.
Attracting some of the best open wheel aces in the state, Loss ultimately qualified for the 40-lap Weldon Sterner contest and finished 17th, earning his way into the Pigeon Hills blockbuster with a fifth-place score in his respective heat race. “The Boss” launched the program with the fourth-fastest time in his respective qualifying group.
No time to dwell, Loss’ schedule will hit another gear in the coming week, set to continue his 2024 Pennsylvania Posse agenda with a three-race weekend at Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and BAPS Motor Speedway in consecutive fashion.
“Feels good to put together a respectable evening at Lincoln. We’re always striving to do better, but we’re a young team with limited experience. The results will come,” Loss, driver of the JKL Racing, Next Level Signs & Graphics, Your Hometown Agents – Colby Jacobs & Neil Reichart Team, Diversified Cuts, Wolf’s Plumbing LLC, No. 67 sprint car, said. “A big thanks to everyone involved with this team, especially my family. They sacrifice so much to get me to the track every weekend. They’re the backbone.”
JJ Loss and JKL Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a Central Pennsylvania tripleheader on Friday through Sunday, April 26-28, visiting Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and BAPS Motor Speedway in consecutive fashion.
