Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JW MOTORSPORTS – VINCENTOWN, NJ – Back-to-back nights of competition resulted in back-to-back top-fives for Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports, kicking off their weekend streak with a fourth-place score at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 20.
Whittall, ace of the JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Prime Composite Innovations, Milky Way Restaurant, No. 67 sprint car, started eighth in Port Royal’s main event, kicking off preliminary competition with a two spot jump to third in his respective heat race.
Just one evening later at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, Whittall finished third – his top performance of the season. The former Port Royal and Williams Grove Speedway winner launched the Sunday program with a runner-up outcome in his respective heat race, finishing just behind four-time Lincoln Speedway champion, Freddie Rahmer.
Whittall’s momentum kick will prove increasingly beneficial, as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will make their first Central Pennsylvania appearance of the season in just over two weeks.
“That was a solid weekend for our team… much needed positive results,” Whittall explained. “Sometimes it’s tough to get out of a rut, but all it takes is one great weekend to put your team back on track. We’ll do our best to use this momentum to our advantage.”
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2024 campaign with upcoming starts at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27.
