Top-10 & Hard Charge Highlight Schatz’ Kentucky & Indiana Weekend; Knoxville Double On Tap

Story By: TYLER ALTMETER / TONY STEWART RACING – BROWNSBURG, IN – In all, a productive weekend through Kentucky and Indiana for Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, continuing their World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with visits to Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, and Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Friday and Saturday, April 19-20.

Two nights resulted in two highlights for the Fargo, North Dakota, native, launching his weekend with a five-spot rally to seventh at Paducah International, followed by a six-spot bump to 11th on the highbanks of Tri-State. Although just short of attaining back-to-back top-tens, Saturday’s performance was sound enough to secure the evening’s Hard Charger Award; a title given to the driver who advances the most feature positions.

Schatz’ top-ten ultimately raised his total to 13 in the first 15 World of Outlaws contests. The ten-time Series champion is currently second in the Series championship standings, trailing title rival and Connecticut native, David Gravel, by 34 markers.

A competitive and diverse schedule, nonetheless, the World of Outlaws will not return to Kentucky or Indiana for the rest of the season.

Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing and Donny Schatz will continue their 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a Knoxville Raceway doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. Each event will award $12,000-to-win.
