Rain Postpones Big Diamond Speedway’s Crate Classic & Full Fender Frenzy

Story By: BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – Friday turned out to be a win for Mother Nature as rains hit the area forcing Big Diamond promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley to cancel the May 10th racing events which included the 602 Crate Classic for the USS Achey Inc Crate 602 Sportsman and the Full Fender Frenzy for the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners.

The 602 Crate Classic paying $3,000 is now scheduled to take place on Friday, June 21st as part of Living Legends Night and the Full Fender Frenzy has been rescheduled for Friday, July 12th.

Big Diamond Speedway will return to action this Friday night, May 17th for the second leg of the May Modified Month of Money. The Quandel Concrete Modifieds will race 25 laps for a $5,000 payday. Jeff Strunk was the winner of the first May $5,000 to win race and will be looking to make it two for two. Also on the schedule for next Friday are the 2024 debut for the Wingless Sportsman, the USS Achey Inc. Crate 602 Sportsman and the Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman.
