Take Two For PASS Sprint Car Series This Friday At Big Diamond Speedway

Story By: BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – With their first scheduled visit of the season rained out back in June, the Pennsylvania Sprint Series (PASS) returns to Big Diamond Speedway this Friday night July 28th.

They will be joined by the track’s regular divisions for a big night of racing in Schuylkill County. The Quandel Concrete Modifieds, USS Achey Inc Crate 602 Sportsman, The Big Creek Concrete Crate Rookies and the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners will also be on the racing card for the night providing a great night of competition.

The PASS Sprint Car Series is led by Logan Spahr who is the current leader in points over Seth Schnoke, Ken Duke Jr, Mike Melair and Drew Young are. The PASS series has had a total of twelve races so far in 2023 with the Logan Spahr leading the series with a total of seven wins. Austin Reed (2), Kenny Heffner (1), Kruz Kepner (1) and Drew Young (1) have also registered wins so far this season. This will be the first and only time the PASS series will bring their exciting brand of racing to Big Diamond.

The race for the Quandel Concrete 358 Modified championship has tightened up tremendously by virtue of Mike Gular’s win last Friday and Jeff Strunk finishing second. Points leader Brett Kressley went into last Friday with a large lead but had a subpar (for him) seventh-place finish to allow both Strunk and Gular to make great strides in the standings. Gular is on quite a roll right now wherever he races and will look to cut into Kressley’s lead even more come this Friday.

Jordan Henn continues to impress in the USS Achey, Inc Crate 602 Sportsman by winning his third race of the season last Friday night. Henn also leads the way in the championship race with two-time winner Logan Watt right on his heels in second. You can also not count out the Crate 602 Sportsman career leader in wins Danny Buccafusca who is lurking just behind in third and ready to pounce if Henn or Watt have a bad night.

The Big Creek Concrete Crate Rookies have been a competitive division all season with multiple winners. Last week it was Bryce Bashore who raced to his third victory of the season to join Jax Yohn and Brennan Chapman as the leaders in wins.

Alex Schoffstall continues to add to his career leading Red White and Blue Autos. Schoffstall raced to his eighth win of the season in 2023 last Friday night. Unfortunately for Shoffstall, it seems to be either a win or a DNF this season as he trails Chuck Fayash and Kris Ney in the title chase.
