Story By: BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – This Friday night July 14th, it will be Red White and Blue Autos night at Big Diamond Speedway as the Wingless Sportsman visit the speedway for their first of two scheduled visits in 2023. The Wingless Super Sportsman will be joining the Quandel Concrete Modifieds, the Big Creek Concrete Crate Rookies along with the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners who will race the annual Crazy 8’s program. The USS Achey Crate 602 Sportsman have off this Friday.

The Wingless Sportsman bring their brand of racing to the Big Diamond Speedway for what I believe is the first time. Some of the names expected to be in attendance are Steve Wilbur, Cliff Brian, Billy Brian, Tony Jackson and members of the racing Perigo family.
After another week with no racing due to Mother Nature, the Quandel Concrete Modifieds will be roaring to get back in action. The race for the points championship is heating up. Brett Kressley is the leader but with one slip, Jeff Strunk and defending champion Duane Howard are ready to pounce and add to their championship totals.
The Big Creek Concrete Crate Rookies will be on the racing card as Jax Yohn and Brennan Chapman look to add to their win totals. Both Yohn and Chapman each have three wins a piece leading the rookie division.
It will be Crazy 8’s for the Red White and Blue Roadrunners this Friday night as they will race in four 8-lap feature races with each race paying separate points. This annual event for the Roadrunners will go a long way in determining the 2023 title between contenders Chuck Fayash and Alex Schoffstall.
The racing action will get underway on Friday night at 7:45 PM with hot laps starting at 7:15 PM
Pit gates will open Friday night at 5:00 PM with the Grandstand gate opening at 5:30 PM
Pit admission is $35 for those with a Big Diamond License. Non-licensed Pit admission is $45.
General admission for this Friday is $20, Kids under 16 are free. Active military are admitted free with a valid ID.
