Randall Quick In Three-Feature Weekend; Mega Memorial Day Agenda On Deck

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TKS MOTORSPORTS – MITCHELLVILLE, IA – Three feature starts resulted in three top-ten finishes for Chase Randall and TKS Motorsports, two of which occurring in the same evening. In fact, Randall finished no worse than eighth in his weekend triple, opening action with a fourth-place score in a POWRi 410 Outlaw start at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, on Friday, May 17. A third-place performance during heat race competition set the tone for Randall’s eventual feature outcome.

Not stopping there, Randall, ace of the Albaugh – Your Alternative, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, TJ Forged, No. 2KS sprint car, raced on to finish eighth and second at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, padding his evening effort with a five spot bump to eighth in the 410 segment of the program.

Randall’s runner-up finish, commencing from row four, would occur in the evening’s 360 sprint car main event, nearly earning his second victory of the season with a hard fought challenge from fourth on the final circuit. Needless to say, the Waco, Texas, native and TKS Motorsports fell just short, simultaneously securing their fourth top-five of the season and their second in three features.

“A great effort by this entire team all weekend long. Feels good to find some consistency in three solid attempts,” Troy Renfro, owner of TKS Motorsports, expressed. “We have a pretty big schedule planned out for Memorial Day weekend. The goal is to win, and I’m confident that’s always in our potential, but to go out and put together four solid attempts would be just as rewarding.”

TKS Motorsports and Chase Randall will continue their 2024 campaign with another action-packed weekend in the Midwest, first visiting the Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, on Friday, May 24 (360), followed by a return visit to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, May 25 (360 & 410). The “Quickest Chicken” will cap the coming weekend with a doubleheader at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Sunday and Monday, May 26-27 (410).
