Story By: BRAD STAWSER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – Today’s Blue Collar Classic at Port Royal Speedway has been regrettably cancelled due to impending severe weather and a flood watch in the area. The event, which was set to showcase the Penns Valley Meat Market RaceSaver sprint cars, limited late models, and wingless super sportsman, has been postponed to ensure the safety of all participants, spectators, and staff.
Organizers and officials monitored the weather conditions closely throughout the morning, and after careful consideration of the forecasted conditions, the decision was made to cancel the event in the interest of safety. Heavy rainfall and the potential for flooding posed significant risks to the track and surrounding areas.
The management team at Port Royal Speedway expresses their gratitude to fans, sponsors, and participants for their understanding and continued support.
Port Royal Speedway will be back in action on Wednesday, July 3rd as a part of PA Speedweek which will feature Weikert Livestock 410 sprint cars and United Racing Club 360s. All gates will open at 4PM and racing will begin at 7PM.
