Rob McCall Scores Outlaw Midget Victory at Sauble Speedway

Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OSCAAR – SAUBLE BEACH, ONT – It seems the new ride for Rob McCall is working out well as he parked it in Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil victory lane at Sauble Speedway on Saturday.

Kayla Semple won the first qualifier in front of Mikey Homewood, Kevin Spiez, Wayne McKibbon, Fred Homewood, Glenn Raymond, and Rob McCall. Raymond failed to finish while McCall did not take the green flag.

Nick Spiez won the second heat ahead of Jason Metcalfe, Rob Harrison, Adam Tyo, Dave Inglis, Brett Dorion, Derek Millman, and Kurt Lawton. Millman and Lawton failed to finish.

When it came to the main event, Rob McCall put himself out front with nine laps on the board, pacing the second half of the feature en route to victory lane. Derek Millman put together his best performance of 2024 to date with a runner-up, with Rob Harrison completing the podium. Wayne McKibbon and Jason Metcalfe round out the top-five.

Kayla Semple’s impressive night continued with a sixth in front of Kevin Spiez, Mikey Homewood, Dave Inglis and Russ Couture. Adam Tyo continued to find speed, just missing the top-10 in 11th ahead of Brett Dorion and Fred Homewood.

Nick Spiez, Glenn Raymond and Kurt Lawton failed to finish.

The next race for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil is July 20 at Sunset Speedway.
