Jason Metcalfe Scores Hat Tricks to Fourth Career Outlaw Midget Feature Victory

Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OUTLAW MIDGET RACING CLUB – DURHAM, ONT – Now he has found the way to victory lane, there is no stopping Jason Metcalfe as he scored his fourth career Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil feature victory on Saturday at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.

Starting up front after sweeping his qualifying heats, Jason Metcalfe wasted no time finding his way to the top spot. He then paced the second half of the feature, holding off a charge from Kayla Semple and Russ Couture in the closing stages.

Rob Harrison’s consistency carried him to a fourth-place finish, with Fred Homewood completing the top-five. Larry Lawson placed sixth as the last car to take the checkered flag.

Mikey Homewood was the first car to not finish in seventh in front of Richard Woodland, Kurt Lawton, and Brett Dorion. Nick Spiesz was 11th, earning points for Kevin Spiez after Spiesz ran into issues in the first heat. Jason Semple rounded out the field, while Derek Millman did not take the green flag.

Jason Metcalfe now holds a 66-point lead over Kevin Spiesz in the standings.

The next race for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil takes place at Peterborough Speedway on August 24.
