Mike Bradley Scores Third-Straight Outlaw Midget Victory At Full Throttle Motor Speedway

Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OUTLAW MIDGET RACING CLUB – DURHAM, ONT – Running sub-14 second lap times around the tight quarter-mile, it is safe to say everything happens quickly for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil at Full Throttle Motor Speedway. It was an action-filled night, which ultimately concluded with Mike Bradley scoring his second consecutive feature victory.

Mike Bradley started off the day in victory lane in the first heat, ahead of Rob Harrison, Fred Homewood, Kevin Spiez, and Kayla Semple. Derek Millman, Larry Lawson, and Jason Metcalfe failed to finish.

Nick Spiez kept the comeback tour going in style with a win in the second qualifier, in front of Russ Couture, Glenn Raymond, and Jason Semple. Dave Bradley failed to finish after going for a flip; he was thankfully uninjured in the crash. Mikey Homewood also sustained damage en route to not finishing, while Zachary Millman did not take the green flag.

Rob Harrison’s consistency carried him to a win in the third heat, ahead of Larry Lawson and Kayla Semple. Fred Homewood and Mike Bradley both experienced mechanical issues, causing them to not finish. Jason Metcalfe also did not take the checkered flag, while Kevin Spiez was classified as a not taking the green flag (NTG) with disqualification attached in the final results. Derek Millman also did not run the event as scheduled.

Nick Spiez went for the daily double in the fourth qualifier in front of Dave Bradley. Russ Couture and Glenn Raymond did not finish, while Jason Semple was classified as a not taking the green flag (NTG) with disqualification attached in the final results. Mikey Homewood and Zachary Millman were also not part of the event as scheduled.

When it came time for the main event, Mike Bradley was the man on a mission, leading all the laps en route to picking up the checkered flag for his third straight feature victory for a perfect season to date. Larry Lawson keeps things consistent, with a runner-up for his second top-five of 2023, while Rob Harrison rounded out the podium. Kayla Semple and Russ Couture completed the top-five in front of Glenn Raymond.

The issues from the heats carried over to the main event, with Jason Metcalfe, Dave Bradley, Nick Spiez, Fred Homewood failing to finish. Jason Semple, Mikey Homewood, Kevin Spiez, Derek Millman, and Zachary Millman did not take the green flag.

The next event for the Outlaw Midgets will take be a double-header at Sauble Speedway on Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2.
