Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OUTLAW MIDGET RACING CLUB – SAUBLE BEACH, ONT – The good times keep rolling for Homewood Family Racing, as Mikey Homewood swept the weekend at Sauble Speedway for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil.
After picking up the win in both of his heats, Mikey Homewood knew what he had to do in the feature. He took the lead on Lap 9, pacing the remaining laps en route to winning the event. It marks his third straight series win after a checkered flag at Peterborough Speedway and a win on Saturday at Sauble.
Nick Spiesz repeated his performance from the day prior with a runner-up, while Rob McCall completed the podium. Russ Couture and Kevin Spiesz rounded out the field.
Kurt Lawton was sixth, in front of by Jason Metcalfe, Brett Dorion, Kayla Semple, and Dave Inglis.
Larry Lawson was 11th, followed by Rob Harrison, Wayne McKibbon, Fred Homewood, and Tyler King.
Heat wins went to Mikey Homewood and Jason Metcalfe with a pair each.
The next event for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil is at Sunset Speedway on September 21 as part of Fall Velocity.
