Biddle Ridley Memorial At North Georgia Speedway Rescheduled For Saturday, May 27th

Story By: RYAN DELPH / SPRING NATIONALS SERIES – BRASSTOWN, NC – The ‘Biddle Ridley Memorial’ at North Georgia Speedway, which was nixed by inclement weather back on March 10, is back on the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing schedule!

With the recent sale of Boyd’s Speedway and the suspension of racing activity at the Chattanooga-area facility, track officials at North Georgia Speedway quickly picked up the open Saturday, May 27 date.

Originally scheduled as a $7,553 to win event, the rescheduled ‘Biddle Ridley Memorial’ will now shell out a $10,053 first place prize.

The addition of North Georgia Speedway to the series schedule preserves a season-ending tripleheader weekend in the states of Tennessee and Georgia. On Friday night, May 26, the triple shot will start at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee, as a $7,553 winner’s check will be on the line. The ‘Biddle Ridley Memorial’ at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Saturday, May 27 and the season finale at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee on Sunday, May 28 will then both pay $10,053 to the victor. In all, over $88,000 in purse money will be distributed over the Memorial Day holiday weekend!

“We are excited that North Georgia Speedway is back on the Spring Nationals schedule,” quoted series founder and race director Ray Cook. “With Boyd’s unfortunately closing, it opened up a prime date to hold the Biddle Ridley Memorial at North Georgia. I know everyone at the racetrack and the entire Ridley family is excited about the Saturday, May 27 date. They even said former NASCAR racer and All Pro Super Series Champion Jody Ridley is planning on being on hand, along with a lot of his old racing buddies. It is shaping up to be a great event and we hope the fans will really turn out to support North Georgia Speedway!”
