Greg Wilson Pleased With Team’s Effort During Attica’s Spring Nationals All Star Sprints Events

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GREG WILSON RACING – BENTON RIDGE, OH – In all, an up and down weekend for Greg Wilson Racing in Attica Raceway Park’s annual Core & Main Spring Nationals, and although the Benton Ridge, Ohio-based outfit highlighted the All Star Circuit of Champions doubleheader with a 16th-place score in Saturday’s finale, there were plenty of silver linings including a padded notebook for their Attica return this weekend.

The 16th-place score in Saturday’s $6,000-to-win A-Main was a major stepping stone for Wilson, as he was unable to qualify for feature competition just one night prior.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy transition back to my own team. Between not working with Andy and these new tires, it’s definitely been a change. All we can do is keep working harder and refrain from getting frustrated,” Greg Wilson, ace of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics Warehousing and Transportation, SandRidge Customs, Banshee Graphics, CJMM, No. W20 sprint car, said. “Holden and Jake did a great job for being new to the team. You’re always going to want better results, but it’s going to take some work.

“And a special thanks to my wife and girls for their continued support,” Wilson added. “They are the backbone…I couldn’t do it without them.”

Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with an Attica/Fremont Championship Series start at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday evening, April 21.
