Flamboro Speedway Postpones Opening Night To May 13th Due To Continued Precipitation

Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / FLAMBORO SPEEDWAY – MILLGROVE, ONT – With the continued precipitation putting a damper on pre-season practice, Flamboro Speedway officials have made the difficult call to postpone opening night by a week.

Although May 6 was originally set to be the season opener, the track will open its door for the first round of racing of 2023 a week later on May 13. The schedule will not change from what it has listed to be in attendance that night, with Pro Late Models, Qwick Wick Fire Starter T.Q. Can-Am Midgets, Ontario Pro Challenge Series, and Pure Stocks.

For the divisions that were originally scheduled to run on opening night, there are discussions in the works of possibly making up those races later on in the season. If and when anything is formally decided, it will be released.

With the weather looking good for May 6, the track will utilize the day to host pre-season testing, with teams allowed to test throughout the day, beginning at 12pm.
