Kinzer Motorsports Eyes Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Racing Series Double Dip

Story By: RYAN DELPH / KINZER MOTORSPORTS – ALLEN, KY – Brandon Kinzer and Kinzer Motorsports will venture to the states of North Carolina and Tennessee for a pair of Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Racing Series showdowns on June 9-10.

Up first will be a rare visit to Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, North Carolina later tonight. A $2,000 top prize will be up for grabs this evening at the Tarheel State bullring that is operated by fellow racer Ray Cook.

The doubleheader weekend will then wrap up on Saturday evening at Mountain View Raceway in Spring City, Tennessee. A $1,500 winner’s check will be on the line at the Volunteer State oval tomorrow. Brandon comes into the double-dip tied for second in the heated series point standings.

The last event for the #18 team came over the Memorial Day holiday weekend at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee on Saturday, May 27. Brandon knocked down the second quickest lap during qualifying to earn the outside pole position for the $1,500 to win Cumberland Plateau Series A-Main. An incorrect tire selection for the feature caused BK to unfortunately slip back to fourth, which is where he finished behind only race winner Chris Wilson, Jacob Hall, and Bryan Barber.
