Brian Brown Finds Top-Five Twice Over Weekend; Huset’s’ High Bank Nationals Ahead

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRIAN BROWN RACING – GRAIN VALLEY, MO – Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing put together a sound and consistent effort during their recent two-race swing through Missouri and Iowa, capping the weekend with not only a pair of top-five performances, but scoring a podium run in the process, simultaneously building important momentum for the upcoming Huset’s High Bank Nationals; it begins Wednesday.

Brown, ace of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, HAWK Hunting, Ditzfeld Transfer, No. 21 sprint car, finished second and fourth in his two-day open wheel sweep, earning his runner-up performance in a POWRi 410 program at I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Missouri, on Friday, June 16. “Blackjack” started from the pole but eventually lost the position to Jake Bubak.

Brown’s fourth-place result occurred in Knoxville Raceway’s $10,000-to-win Border Battle on Saturday; he started sixth.

Impressive enough, Brown’s I-70 campaign was full of runner-up performances, first qualifying second-quick overall, then finishing second during his respective heat race.

Knoxville Raceway’s respective round of the coveted Border Battle featured 32 entries with Brown recording the fastest qualifying time overall. A third-place finish during heat race action secured his spot in the evening’s A-Main.

“A solid weekend overall for our Casey’s/FVP No. 21,” Brian Brown stated. “We were the second best car all night Friday at I-70. Jake [Bubak] did a fantastic job and hats off to him and his team. Knoxville, we were just a little off from where we have been. But, we’ll take this momentum and move forward. Ready for Huset’s.

Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with Huset’s Speedway’s Billion Auto High Bank Nationals presented by Menards. The massive four-night event is set for Wednesday through Saturday, June 21-24. Three preliminary events will award a stout $20,000-to-win each followed by the $250,000-to-win finale on Saturday night; the largest payday in World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series history.
