Danny Dietrich Finds Success In Ohio Sprint Speedweek, Lincoln’s PA Speedweek Tune-Up

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY DIETRICH RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – Although Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing were unable to fulfill their goal of completing Ohio Sprint Speedweek in its entirety, forced to come home early due to personal reasons, “Double-D” certainly took advantage of his shortened All Star Circuit of Champions campaign through the Buckeye State, securing not only a top-ten at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday, June 9, but backing that up with a victory at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Saturday, June 10, utilizing a last lap, last corner pass to do so.

An exciting outcome, nonetheless, Republic, Ohio’s Cap Henry was the man in charge prior to Dietrich’s dramatic takeover, leading the first 39 and 3/4 laps before being out-drag raced by Dietrich to the line. The victory, Dietrich’s 20th during All Star competition, secured the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native a $10,000 payday.

Dietrich’s return to Pennsylvania led the Gary Kauffman Racing operation to familiar territory, first visiting Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 16, followed by a stop at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, June 17. Although Dietrich kicked-off the weekend with a sixth-place score on Friday, the former Williams Grove and Lincoln champion rebounded big and found victory lane yet again, this time securing Lincoln Speedway’s Speedweek tune-up on Saturday. The triumph was Dietrich’s third of the season, all of which occurring at different facilities.

I know we have the potential to do so.”
