Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JW MOTORSPORTS – VINCENTOWN, NJ – Last minute Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek preparation is never a bad thing, and for Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports, the chance to do so worked out in their favor, eventually capping their recent weekend of competition with back-to-back top-ten scores, highlighting the pair with a sixth-place outcome at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on Saturday, June 17.
Just one night prior at Williams Grove Speedway, Whittall finished tenth, his second top-ten score of the season at the world-famous paperclip and his first since an eighth-place outcome on Friday, May 5. With all recent results considered, the Garden State open wheeler has accomplished 11 top-ten scores thus far this season, highlighting all with a podium achievement at Port Royal on June 3.
As noted, Whittall’s back-to-back top-ten stretch is a perfect momentum kick for the upcoming edition of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek, which activates officially Friday evening, June 23, at Williams Grove Speedway.
“That was a great weekend for our team, especially with so much coming up,” Whittall, ace of the JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Prime Composite Innovations, K Seal, No. 67 sprint car, said. “We wanted to compete in the entire Speedweek schedule, but some outside conflicts won’t allow that to happen this year.
