Bills, Newton, Cotriss, Coleman, Nettleton & Rodebaugh Beat Mother Nature At Ransomville

Story By: STEVEN PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – Week 7 of the SANY New York/Burris Racing go-kart program at the Little R saw 85 entries sign in pitside. Mother Nature plagued the evening, with the Frontier Auto Wrecking Junior 3 and the Mike Barry Motors Senior Heavy divisions being unable to run their feature events due to persistent rain.

In the feature action that did take place, Brayden Bills won the Fisher Auto Repair Sr Lite feature event. Lucas Newton won the SJE Shocks Junior 2 feature. Jax Cotriss won the Slack Kart Junior 1 feature event.

Fulton Coleman, Garrett Nettleton, and Lucas Rodebaugh won the Just Signs & Designs Novice Features. Colin Spatorico won the Adult Fun Class event over Merrittville Speedway announcer Jonathon Howe, and Mario Fortino.

At the start of the Junior 3 feature, persistent rain fell and ultimately the decision was made to pull the karts into the pit area and the rest of the evening was called off. Speedway management will be announcing in the coming days about rescheduling of the Junior 3 and Sr Heavy feature events.

The Little R will be gearing up for its doubleheader weekend next week. Thursday, June 29 will see a full card of racing, featuring the twin 15’s for the Senior Heavy, with $100 to win, $50 for second, $25 for third for both features, plus the $125 to win special for the Junior 2 division. Pit gates will open at 5pm, with racing getting underway shortly after 7pm. As always, the concession stand will be open and FREE grandstand admissions. Then on Sunday, July 2, the Paul Moden Memorial and Tribute Race will take place. Pit Gates on Sunday will open at 8:00am, with practice getting underway at 11am, and racing will start at noon.

A change to the schedule will take place on Thursday, July 20, as that date will be the makeup $500 to win race for the Senior Heavy.

The Little R would like to thank all the divisional sponsors for continuing their support of the future stars of racing. Mike Barry Motors (Sr Heavy), Fisher’s Auto Repair (Sr Lites), Frontier Auto Wrecking (Junior 3), SJE Shocks (Junior 2), Slack Karts (Junior 1), and Just Signs & Designs (Novice).
