Matt Westfall Strong At Wilmot; Lincoln Park & Waynesfield Ahead For Ray Marshall Motorsports

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / RAY MARSHALL MOTORSPORTS – FOREST, OH – Although a shortened trip to the Badger State that fell victim to Mother Nature prior to Sunday’s visit to Angell Park, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports took advantage of their weekend visit to Wisconsin and capped their only start of the trip with a top-ten performance, doing so at Wilmot Raceway on Saturday, June 24.

In all, a proud evening for the Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, No. 33M, kicking off the USAC National Sprint Cars program with a heat race victory, racing on to finish sixth in the 30-lap main event.

There were 22 cars entered for competition with Westfall qualifying 13th-fastest overall.

“It was a short, yet productive weekend for our team. We wanted the opportunity to do even better on Sunday at Angell Park, but like so many other weekends, weather had other plans,” Westfall said. “Can’t say enough about this Ray Marshall Motorsports team. Ray is as passionate as they come and it’s his love for racing that allows us to go out and do it every weekend. Here’s to getting a few more wins this year.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2023 agenda with a USAC National Sprint Cars doubleheader at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana, on Friday and Saturday, June 30 and July 1. Weekend action will continue on Monday, July 3, with the Jack Hewitt Classic at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio.
