Heavy Weekend Rain Postpones July 3rd CRSA Sprints Date At Land Of Legends Raceway

Story By: STEVEN OVENS / CRSA – SODUS, NY – Mother Nature was not a race fan this Independence Day Weekend. Saturday afternoon she whacked Land of Legends Raceway in Canandaigua, NY with 4.7 inches of rain during a 90-minute timeframe.

The pits and several parts of the track were under water.

Sunday conditions brought plenty of water drainage and officials were hopeful to press on with the event. However more rain on Sunday knocked out any chances of racing on Monday July 3, forcing raceway and CRSA Sprints officials to postpone the second round of the DisBatch Brewing Company Challenge Series.

At this time, officials from both entities are searching for an amicable date that would allow the scheduled event to take place. Considerations of both series competitors and LOLR’s weekly 305 competitors are being taken in the reschedule date.

The next scheduled event for the A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprints powered by Super Gen Products is Friday July 7 at Tyler Siri’s Outlaw Speedway.
