Story By: STEVEN PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – Ransomville Speedway honored and celebrated the life of longtime engine builder and official Doug Etue Thursday night with the Doug Etue Memorial, and it was Gene Gregoric who was celebrating in victory lane after winning the $1,001 feature event for the Mike Barry Motors Senior Heavy division at the Little R.
The Sr Heavy non-qualifiers race was won by Jesse Johnston. Brayden Bills won the Fisher Auto Repair Sr Lite feature event. Ethan Hammer won the Frontier Auto Wrecking Jr 3 feature. Gabriel Rodriguez won the SJE Shocks Jr 2 feature event. Jax Cotriss won the Slack Kart Junior 1 feature event. Jack Reid, Bryson Herriven, and Mason Sharts won the Just Signs & Designs Novice feature.
Dates were announced for the makeup features for the Junior 3 division and Senior Heavy division following the rainout on June 22. The makeup Junior 3 feature will take place on August 3, and the Senior Heavy will run their makeup race on July 27.
Racing at the Little R continues Thursday, July 13 with a full card of racing, featuring the Novice Candy Bar Race. Pit gates will open at 5pm and racing will get underway shortly after 7pm. Pit admission is $20 for drivers, $15 for everyone else. As always, the concession stand will be open, and Grandstand Admission is FREE.
