Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / RIDGE & SONS RACING – KNOXVILLE, IA – It was a rocky start statistically, but Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) and Cory Eliason made a lot of progress in their first-ever Florida campaign, not only kicking off their season with a four-race sweep against the Greatest Show On Dirt, but ultimately joining the High Limit Sprint Car Series in their season’s first program at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida.
Eliason, who will chase a High Limit championship in 2024, piloted his Commercial Edge, NDT New Direction Transport LLC, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, B And L Holdings, No. 8 sprinter to three main event starts in his six-race slate, highlighting all appearances with a 19th-place score on Monday, February 12.
Although Florida action is complete, at least for the time being, competition south of the Mason-Dixon is far from over, as the High Limit Sprint Car Series schedule will continue with a stop at Golden Isles Speedway in Waynesville, Georgia, on Thursday and Saturday, February 22 & 24; the finale will award $20,000-to-win.
“A slow start, for sure, but new combinations take time,” Cory Eliason, who hails from Visalia, California, explained. “Hats off to this entire Ridge & Sons Racing team. Brian [Ridge] does a great job in providing us with the equipment we need to be successful. It’s up to us to put it all together. We took in a lot of valuable information during our races in Florida and I’m confident we’ll put that to good use going forward.”
