Two Test & Tune Dates Set For Woodhull Raceway; Opening Day Scheduled For April 20th

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Niki Brewer are pleased to announce a pair of open practice dates will be held prior to the official start of the 2024 race season.

The first two Saturdays in April have been set aside allowing test and tune for racers that compete at the historic Steuben County Oval. Gates for both practices will swing at 4:00 pm with the track opening for practice at approximately 5:00 pm.

“Every year we try and put two practice dates on the schedule prior to our season opener. It allows teams plenty of time to knock the rust off in preparation for our first official event on the year on April 20, 2024, which will see a complete Super 7 Show and it also marks the first point show of the season. Some years we have lucked out with early April weather and gotten both practice dates into the books. Other years it has rained out one practice night or the other, but by scheduling the pair it is a good bet we get in at least one practice.” That according to Woodhull owners, Terry and Niki Brewer.

Last year a huge turnout of cars representing all the weekly classes was on hand for both practice dates. In addition, there were several other invaders representing touring groups that were scheduled to compete at Woodhull during the year with all competitors getting ample track time to work on various chassis set ups.

Race teams will be able to purchase American Racer Tires as well as high octane racing fuel at the two test sessions.

Also, racers and fans will have the opportunity to purchase season pit and grandstand season passes, reserve seating for the year and pay for tower space.

Grandstand admission for practice is free with a $25.00 charge for pit entry to cover overhead and insurance costs.

Limited concessions will be open for food and beverage.

Teams that compete in all classes at Woodhull in 2024 are required to register their information at www.myracepass.com.

When race season officially begins on April 20, 2024, all adult division competitors are REQUIRED to have transponders properly attached in their cars and Raceceivers are also a MANDATORY devise.

Racers are advised to make sure Transponders are charged prior to each race event and Raceceiver batteries should be changed periodically to eliminate any communication issues.
