Rod Conley Sixth In Visit To Ohio Valley; Doubleheader Weekend On Tap For Conley Motorsports

Story By: RYAN DELPH / CONLEY MOTORSPORTS – WHEELERSBURG, OH – In the lone event of last weekend for the Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams, Rod Conley competed on Friday, May 3 at Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, West Virginia.

The United Late Model Series (ULMS) presided over the annual ‘Topless 50’ and a $5,000 winner’s check was up for grabs for the topless Super Late Models.

Rod clicked off the thirteenth quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session prior to grabbing the fourth transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the inside of the eighth row, the Wheelersburg, Ohio veteran was able to steer his #71R Rocket Chassis past nine competitors en route to a solid sixth place performance. At the checkers, “Hot Rod” trailed only winner Tyler Carpenter, Colten Burdette, Ryan Montgomery, Michael Lake, and Todd Brennan.
