Outlaw Speedway Washed Out Friday; Roy Silvers Memorial Reset For April 28th

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – A steady ban of showers crossed the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York while drivers were competing in heat race competition at the Outlaw Speedway this past Friday leaving track promoter, Tyler Siri with no other choice but to pull the plug on the event.

“We were hoping to dodge the rain than came across the area, but it came at the worst possible time, so we had to cancel for the night. All the heats were not completed so we will start all over again next Friday.” That according to Siri.

With the rainout the Roy Silvers Memorial will be made up next week on Friday, April 28 with the traditional 7:30 pm start time.

Grandstand passes, pit wrist bands and all freebie tickets will be honored on the 28th and the 50/50 will be rolled over as well.

The season points for all divisions will begin when drivers return on April 28.

The Super 7 Show will consist of the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds along with the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire Sportsman and the Knapp and Schlappi Lumber DIRTcar Hoosier Tire Sportsman Divisions along with the Brock’s Bowl and Pizzeria Street Stocks.

Also, on the card it will be the NAPA Hobby Stocks as well as the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks and the Swarthout Recycling Rookie Sportsman.

The Fritz Masonry Youth Bandit’s complete the night of great race action.

The Outlaw Saloon located pit side as well as the Turn 4 Tavern on the main grandstand side of the Fast 4/10 of a mile will both be open for those that are parched.

Camping is free each race night along with free rides on Outlaw Crusher, the tracks Monster Truck.
