Outlaw Speedway Loses May 10th Racing Event To Rain & Cold Temperatures

Story By: OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – With all the region enveloped in rain, cold temperatures and an even more gloomy forecast, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri made the decision to throw in the towel early for Friday night, May 10. 2024 Mother’s Day Night Special at the track.

“All week the forecast did not look favorable for Friday, and we got the racing surface well sealed up to make sure if we did get a lot of precipitation that we would be ok. With all the overnight rain we received Thursday into Friday and a not so favorable outlook for the rest of the day into Friday night its just best to make the call now and let everyone make dinner plans.” That according to Siri.

With the washout it has not been a particularly good start to the 2024 campaign for Outlaw Speedway as the facility lost their first two nights in April to rain and now this Friday which makes three out of five the track has bowed to Mother Nature.

“We got just one event in April and that was the Mike Jackson Memorial which was a particularly good night under cold and cloudy conditions. Last week the Roy Silvers, Season Point Opener was fantastic with a huge crowd, perfect weather conditions, a superb racing surface and an absolutely packed pit area with over 115 cars for 5 adult classes. When it does not rain, we can hit it out of the park, but weather dictates everything in this business. “That once again to track owner, Tyler Siri.
