Bayston Records Back-To-Back Top-Tens In WoO North Dakota Double; On Road To Pacific Northwest

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – A busy weekend in North Dakota led to back-to-back top-ten scores for Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports, igniting their two-race sweep with a sixth-place accomplishment at the always-exciting River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on Friday, August 25.

Bayston, a former World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year and recent Ironman 55 preliminary main event winner, started seventh on the River Cities grid, nearly losing all hope when accidental contact was made with another competitor. Despite the brief run in, Bayston raced on and clinched his 31st top-ten of the season.

Just one night later at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, North Dakota, Bayston did it again, ultimately bumping his top-ten tally to 32 with a tenth-place score after starting 12th on the A-Main lineup. The weekend results were enough to keep Bayston eighth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, already aiming big in a full Labor Day weekend stretch in the Pacific Northwest.

“Overall, a consistent effort all weekend in North Dakota. We’re always working to find ways to improve, and that’s what I love the most about this CJB Motorsports team…the work and the effort never stops,” Bayston, driver of the TrueTimber Camo, Rothco, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, said. “We have a busy weekend ahead, but we’re ready to go.”

Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a trip to the Pacific Northwest for four races in five nights. First, it’s three nights (August 31-September 2) at Skagit Speedway (Burlington, WA) for the Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals with $26,000 going to the winner of the finale. Then on Monday, September 4, it’s a one-day stop at Elma, Washington’s Grays Harbor Raceway.
