Street Stock $2,000-To-Win Woodhull 100 Set To Roll Saturday Evening

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – A tradition that began well over a decade ago will continue September 16 with the running of the Southern Tier Customs Street Stock 100 lap event for the popular Northeast Region Division.

“We want to make this a great event for the Street Stock drivers and race teams,” stated Southern Tier Customs owner, Terry Pierce. “At the conclusion of the 2022 season, we had the opportunity to assume sponsorship of the Street Stock Class at Woodhull and our focus has been on making the season ending Street Stock Special a huge event for drivers and fans alike.”

Lap money is still being secured for the Southern Tier Customs Woodhull Raceway Street Stock 100.

Glenn Whritenour will return to defend his 2021 and 2022 Woodhull Raceway Street Stock 100 titles along with a host of other top name Street Stock pilots including the likes of 2023 Outlaw Speedway Street Stock Champ, Shane Wolfe, Genesee Speedway/McKean County Speedway promoter, Kurt Stebbins (2016 and 2018 winner) as well as last year’s runner-up, Jimmy Grant.

It is also believed that northeast standout Street Stock competitor, Dylan Cecce from Williamsport, Pa. will also be attending looking for his first Woodhull 100 victory.

Woodhull regular competitors like defending Street Stock Champion, Brett Crawford along with his team- mate and Rookie of the Year contender, Willy Easling as well as Teddy Morseman, Mick Seeley, Travis Webster, Mike Williams, Luke Boom, and a host of others will all be contending for the $2,000 top prize.

In past years, a half- way (50 lap) break allows drivers to re-fuel and make any necessary tire pressure adjustments for the second half of the century long grind.

“With lap money being distributed throughout the field as well as the $2 Grand to win we are anticipating a really good turnout for this year’s event.” That once again according to Terry Pierce.
