Gray Leadbetter To Wrap Up 2023 Championship Off-Road Season At MidAmerica Outdoors

Story By: GRAY LEADBETTER RACING – DENVER, NC – 2022 Championship Off-Road Pro Spec champion Gray Leadbetter and the Ryan Beat Motorsports-prepared #28 Bilstein/Pennzoil/Toyo Tires Chevrolet Colorado will wrap up the 2023 season in the inaugural MidAmerica Outdoors Off-Road National. Leadbetter’s final two rounds of her sophomore campaign will see her look to hit double-digit podiums on the season, including seven in a row to kick off her title defense.

Leadbetter enters the weekend third in Pro Spec points thanks to a consistent campaign against much stronger competition than last season. She heads to MidAmerica with solid momentum from a second place finish in the Pro Spec World Championship race at Crandon International Raceway on Labor Day weekend. Although Pro Spec’s move to Sunday competition for their second race this year meant that it didn’t count for points, her performance in one of the biggest rounds of the year set the stage for what should be another weekend of clutch performances in Oklahoma.

While plenty of racers up and down the entry list have short course experience at MidAmerica, Leadbetter is no stranger to the track in some different machinery. She got her first taste of the Nitrocross FC1-X, the world’s premier electric rallycross vehicle, at the track earlier this year with series founder and action sports icon Travis Pastrana in the passenger’s seat. Just a few weeks later, she was back in Oklahoma to race in the series’ SXS division, scoring a pair of top-five finishes as she started her second title hunt of the year.

“It’s always a bummer to have to wrap up the season, but it’s going to be a blast to do it at MidAmerica,” said Leadbetter. “Ryan and the whole R/BM team have given me a great truck all year, and I’m hoping we can make the most of it with a couple more wins to close it out. MidAmerica was an amazing facility to race at with Nitrocross at Visions Off-Road earlier this year, and I can’t wait to show the crowds here what Pro Spec is all about!”

Leadbetter’s track time kicks off on Friday at 12:30PM local time with practice and continues with qualifying at 5:50PM. Her final two rounds of the season will take place at 4:45PM on Saturday and 12:15PM on Sunday. Tickets to watch the action can be purchased both online and on-site.
