Brian Brown Ninth In Salina High Limit Appearance; Knoxville WoO Double Ahead

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRIAN BROWN RACING – GRAIN VALLEY, MO – It was a last minute destination change for “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, but the decision to visit Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma, proved to be worth the miles logged, concluding the High Limit Racing program with a top-ten outcome, winning their respective heat race along the way.

The team was forced to alter their weekend plans after Knoxville Raceway lost its season opener to Mother Nature.

Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, No. 21 sprinter, finished ninth in his High Limit Racing top-ten appearance, commencing the $12,000-to-win program from sixth on the evening grid. The Higginsville, Missouri, native battled as high as third before fading at the conclusion of the 30-lapper.

The top-ten result bumped Brown’s stat chart to four on the season, highlighting all outcomes thus far with a fourth-place performance against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Volusia Speedway Park.

“Overall, a solid night for our Casey’s/FVP team. We were good right out of the box with the seventh-fastest qualifying time and a heat race win. We just need to race a little bit more so we can figure out what this car needs when the fuel load burns off,” Brown said. “We’re pretty excited to get back to Knoxville Raceway this weekend. We have a great package put together for that place and we plan to roll out of the box no different. The plan is to put ourselves in a position to win on both nights.”

Certainly no stranger to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Brown is a former World of Outlaws winner at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, accomplishing said feat for a $10,000 payday on June 9, 2023.
