Insta-Panels Presents Memorial Night At Ohsweken Speedway

Story By: TOMMY GOUDGE / OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY – OHSWEKEN, ONT – The 26th season of racing at Ohsweken Speedway continues Friday, August 4 when Insta-Panels presents Memorial Night.

The racing card features the Noelle Teal Memorial Twin 14’s for the Strickland’s Crate Sprint Cars, the Brock Leonard Memorial 50 for the Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks, the Art Hill Memorial 42 for the HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, plus a special race called “Noah’s Dash” which will incorporate all three divisions.

The Noelle Teal Memorial Twin 14’s will be run for the first time in memory of the Crate Sprint Car and Micro Sprint driver who was lost in a highway accident last year at just 20 years of age. The event will pay $2,000-to-win and $300-to-start thanks to the Teal Family, Gale’s Auto Aftermarket, Corr/Pak Merchandising, and Ackland Insurance.

Justin Ramsay has won the last two editions of the race, while other past winners include Christopher Hale, Ryan Beagle, Ryan Dinning, Karl Sault, Lee Winger, Ryan Turner and Brad Herron; only Ramsay has won it multiple times.

Noah’s Dash will be run for the first time in memory of Noah Thomas, an Ohsweken Speedway employee whose uplifting spirit, dedication, and contagious smile touched everyone he met. The race – an Ohsweken Speedway first – will feature Mini Stocks (6 laps), Thunder Stocks (7 laps), and Crate Sprint Cars (8 laps) competing against each other on the track at the same time. The race will pay $200-to-win and $75-to-start, and each division winner will receive a $250 prize.
